About The Role

This is more than an operational role — it’s a unique opportunity to lead and transform Medical Underwriting in Denmark while helping shape the Nordic vision of a digital-powered, and scalable function. 

As Head of Medical Underwriting Denmark, you will lead a dedicated team of underwriters responsible for assessing health declarations for personal insurance products. Together, you will play a vital role in elevating the quality, consistency, and efficiency of our medical risk assessment — and position Denmark as a benchmark for excellence in the Nordic region. 

In This Role, You Will:

• Drive the development of scalable, future-ready underwriting practices that enhance both customer experience and precision. 
• Guide your team through the shift from manual-heavy workflows to smarter, automated, and data-driven processes. 
• Take the lead in integrating digital platforms and ensuring our underwriting journey aligns seamlessly with the broader customer experience — working closely with key stakeholders across functions. 
• Support Personal Line growth through stable, efficient, and customer-oriented underwriting operations. 
• Strengthen collaboration across the Nordics and contribute to a unified, forward-looking medical underwriting strategy.

You will be part of the Nordic Medical Underwriting management team and report directly to the Nordic Head of Medical Underwriting.

You Also Have:

• Proven leadership experience, preferably with personnel and performance responsibility. 
• A relevant academic or business degree 
• Experience in recruitment and building high-performing teams. 
• Strong communication skills in both Danish and English, written and spoken. 
• Experience in medical underwriting or insurance is an advantage — but a strong learning mindset and customer focus are just as important.
