Here’s the Gist:
We are looking for a VP of Americas Sales to further develop and execute the Americas sales strategy for Wolfspeed. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned leader to build and grow a world-class organization. You will be a hands-on senior leader ready to act decisively, move quickly and drive positive changes to the organization.
You will work closely with other leaders to drive the growth of business and revenue. You’ll be responsible for solidifying Wolfspeed’s position as the preferred partner for our semiconductor portfolio across the region for both I&E and Automotive customers. This is a critical role with significant contribution to the organization’s overall success.
The Day-To-Day
- Determine and drive the Americas sales strategy to build and grow presence and to achieve revenue targets
- Work closely with senior leadership team on short and long-term strategy
- Manage senior level customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities when needed
- Leverage our current sales team while also expanding and growing the team as part of our overall strategy
- Monitor market and competitor activity
- Work cross-functionally with the BU, R&D, planning, operations, marketing, channel distribution, customer services to develop and execute strategies
- Identify and create new sales opportunities
- Demonstrate the highest standards of ethics, teamwork, personal accountability and mutual support
- Manage and maintain budget
This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):
- BA/BS Degree, MBA preferred
- A minimum of 15 years of progressively advancing management experience, ideally within technology companies with significant exposure to semiconductors or automotive industry
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a sales leadership position
- Ability to exercise effective judgment, sensitivity, creativity to changing needs
- Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and challenging workload and the ability to prioritize company objectives and meet aggressive deadlines.
- The ability to recognize each team member's motivations and create an environment to leverage strengths and improve on weaknesses through effective performance management and mentorship
- Experience collaborating with leaders in other functions
- External and internal communications, meeting facilitation and presentations
- Network with other associations and industry contacts that are in the best interest of the organization
- Great strategic planning, organizational, and creative thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
