• We’ll look to you to create the definition of the Strategic Target Architecture and Roadmap for the domain of specialism, assuring it is aligned with the Strategy and the bank’s Strategic Target Architecture and Roadmap
• You’ll assist in defining the architectural vision and strategy for their area of specialism, ensuring alignment with business objectives and contributing to the development of principles and standards that guide architectural practice

What You'Ll Do

We’ll look to you to support the realisation of the Security Architect working as part of development teams throughout the engineering development lifecycle. This includes providing technical guidance, resolving architectural impediments, and championing the adoption of architecture patterns and practices.

Your expertise will be key within the specialism such as Business, Infrastructure, Data, Security, AI, Integration, to aid in the development of complex architectures, including recommending process designs and technology solutions.

You’Ll Also:

• Collaborate with senior architects and key stakeholders to contribute to the definition and evolution of the Strategic Target Architecture and Roadmap for the domain of specialism, ensuring alignment with the bank's broader objectives
• Work alongside architects to identify and recommend opportunities for solution architectures that support the delivery of the domain’s Strategic Target Architecture and Roadmap
• Promote a DevOps mindset by working as part of development teams to embed architecture guidance in CI/CD pipelines, using architecture as code to support version control, traceability, auditability, and collaboration, as part of keeping architecture inventories and repositories up to date, ensuring data completeness and accuracy for reporting and analysis
• Engage with key stakeholders, including Domain Delivery Leads and Principal Engineers, to promote the concept of architecting for reuse and drive the adoption of existing domain capabilities to simplify architecture
• Assist in promoting and facilitating the adoption of shared capabilities within the domain by creating educational materials and playbooks and identifying practical use cases for stakeholders

The Skills You'Ll Need

• You’ll have extensive knowledge in area of specialism including a solid understanding of business use cases and emerging trends that drive organisational success. You’ll also have solid knowledge
• of modern technologies such as Cloud, Microservices, AI along with agile architecture and DevOps practices.

Furthermore, You’Ll Need:

• Proficiency in engaging with partners from across the bank to define architectures that deliver tangible business outcomes
• Experience of collaborative decision-making processes, partnering with business and technology colleagues to articulate and evolve architectural direction, while ensuring adherence to key architecture principles and alignment with strategic goals
• Proficiency in creating business cases to influence senior stakeholders to secure investment for architecture initiatives
• Experience in overseeing and assuring the quality of architecture designs including participating in Architecture and Design Reviews to validate that solutions meet business needs and comply with architecture standards, with a focus on risk management and governance
