dependable HR Assistant to support our HR team in caregiver hiring, onboarding, and
payroll processes. This role is essential in ensuring that all caregiver documentation is
complete, organized, and compliant with state requirements.
Responsibilities
- Assist the HR team with caregiver recruitment, onboarding, and orientation.
- Collect, verify, and organize caregiver documents (livescan, HCA registry, licenses, training certificates, etc.).
- Ensure all caregivers are registered with the California Home Care Aide Registry (HCA) and cleared before starting work.
- Maintain accurate employee files and digital records.
- Track deadlines for expiring credentials and follow up with caregivers to keep files compliant.
- Support payroll processes by verifying timesheets, hours, and assisting with payroll data entry.
- Provide excellent communication and customer service to caregivers, clients, and office staff.
- Assist with HR reporting, audits, and compliance as needed.
- Perform general office tasks to support the HR and Operations team.
Requirements
Education: High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
preferred.
Experience: Previous HR, healthcare, or office administration experience
preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and comfortable learning HR/payroll software.
- Clear and professional communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
- Works well independently and as part of a team.
- Must live near North San Diego or surrounding area.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
