Position Summary
ATI is seeking a strategic and hands-on Vice President, Total Rewards to lead the design, development, and execution of comprehensive global compensation, executive rewards, and benefits programs. Based in Dallas, TX, this key leadership role reports to the SVP and CHRO and will ensure ATI’s total rewards strategy supports the attraction, retention, and engagement of top talent — particularly executive and critical talent — while aligning to shareholder interests and evolving business needs.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in executive compensation, board-level experience with compensation committees, and a proven track record leading broad-based compensation and benefits strategies in a complex, performance-driven, publicly traded industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
Executive Compensation & Governance
- Lead all aspects of executive compensation design, including base, STI, LTI (performance and time-based equity).
- Partner with the CHRO and CEO to prepare and deliver materials for the Compensation and Leadership Development Committee of the Board of Directors.
- Ensure ATI’s programs are competitive, performance-based, and compliant with SEC, IRS, and NYSE regulations.
- Drive annual executive compensation planning, benchmarking, and proxy/CD&A disclosures in partnership with Legal and Finance.
- Partner with Labor Relations in driving labor strategy and CBA negotiation strategy.
- Serving as a member of the Company’s management-led Benefits Committee, assist the Committee in its fiduciary oversight of the Company’s various employee benefits and plans.
Total Rewards Strategy
- Set and evolve ATI’s total rewards philosophy to support business strategy and organizational performance.
- Design and implement enterprise-wide compensation structures and frameworks that enable internal equity, external competitiveness, and career mobility.
- Oversee merit planning, incentive program design and execution, and compensation analytics.
Benefits & Wellbeing
- Lead the development and administration of ATI’s health, welfare, and retirement programs, including self-funded plans, wellness initiatives, and retirement savings.
- Stay current on healthcare trends and regulatory developments and ensure compliance across all offerings.
- Drive innovation in benefits that align with ATI’s culture and support a diverse workforce.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and develop a high-performing Total Rewards team.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and HRBPs on complex rewards matters and organizational planning.
- Champion data-driven decision-making and employee-centric program design.
- Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree or MBA preferred•15+ years of progressive Total Rewards experience, including executive compensation, in a publicly traded, global manufacturing or industrial company with union experience.•Deep understanding of compensation committee processes, governance, and proxy reporting requirements.•Demonstrated experience designing and implementing global compensation and benefits strategies at scale.
- Experience with equity programs and stock administration platforms.•Strong business acumen and financial fluency; able to translate business strategy into rewards strategy.•Exceptional executive presence, influencing skills, and a track record of presenting to senior leadership and Boards.•High integrity, discretion, and ability to manage sensitive information.
