We are now looking for an experienced Vice President, Batteries and Chargers for Load & Haul Division. The position is based at Turku site, Finland which is the main product development and manufacturing center for our Load and Haul equipment. A great part of Batteries and Chargers organization is located at Camarillo site which is a center of excellence for batteries.
Your role & responsibilities
As the Vice President, Batteries and Chargers, you will have the overall responsibility in the division for defining and delivering the Batteries and Chargers product portfolio and roadmap, managing the R&D and innovation, and ensuring the customer satisfaction and loyalty. You will report to the Division President, and partner with the divisional management team to align the Batteries and Chargers roadmap and operations with the customer needs, and the business objectives and vision. You will also partner with external partners, such as suppliers, distributors, regulators, and industry associations, to optimize the network and performance. You will oversee the risk management and compliance and provide data-driven insights and recommendations for improvement and optimization.
You will play an instrumental role in shaping and executing the company strategy. Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead the Batteries and Chargers team, ensuring high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Partner with the division management team to provide Batteries and Chargers guidance and support, and facilitate the decision-making process
- Manage the Batteries and Chargers R&D and innovation, by defining and implementing the R&D specifications, standards, and methodologies, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality and reliable products
- Manage the analytics, BaaS, recycling and second life, fleet management, and expert support functions, by defining and implementing the best practices and processes, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality and cost-efficient services
- Collaborate with the corporate functions, as well as the external partners, to optimize the network and performance, and to explore new opportunities and challenges
- Ensure the customer satisfaction and loyalty, by understanding and anticipating the customer needs and expectations, and by providing effective solutions and support
- Ensure the risk management and compliance, by identifying and mitigating the potential risks, and by complying with the relevant regulations and standards
- Monitor and report on the performance and progress, and provide data-driven insights and recommendations to the division management team
- Ensure compliance with local and international laws and regulations, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of batteries and chargers trends and best practices
Your background & what we find important
To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- University degree in a suitable field (e.g. engineering or business administration)
- High ambition level with strong leadership and change management capabilities
- Experience in working in demanding senior Batteries and Chargers related role
- Track record of successfully leading teams to deliver high-quality results
- Experience in the mining industry or a related field is preferred
- Experience in collaborating with internal and external partners, and managing stakeholder expectations
- Strong knowledge of batteries and chargers principles, practices, and tools
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required
