QualificationsFlight Specialties Components Corp. (FSC), a subsidiary of HEICO Aerospace, is currently recruiting for a Quality Control Inspector to assist in manufacturing electro-mechanical components at our facility in Highland Heights, Ohio.
Prime Responsibilities
- This position reports directly to the FSC Quality Manager.
- Participate in certain aspects of product inspection and verification for assigned aircraft components, as detailed below:
- Perform inspection and testing of electromechanical components to assure parts meet all aspects of the design requirements.
- Must be able to use various gauges and testing equipment for product verification.
- Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, certificates, conducting visual and measurement tests.
- Verify all activities required in the receiving process are performed correctly and completely.
- Manage internal records and documentation.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Assist with Calibration maintenance and control.
- Compose non-conformance reports and assisting with corrective actions
- Assist with functional testing
- Helps to resolve quality related issues in a timely manner
- Makes recommendations for continual improvements to the production process to ensure
- Perform other activities as assigned by management.
Education / Prior Experience Requirements
- Associate Degree in Engineering, Certifications in Quality/Engineering related field, or at least 2 years of work experience in quality assurance function is strongly preferred.
- High school diploma with a minimum of 2 years of similar experience in quality is acceptable.
- Knowledge of quality standards and testing techniques.
- Understand blueprints, instructions, GD&T, technical documents and ensure that products meet quality standards is preferred.
- Experience with authoring First Article Inspection and Non-conformity reports is preferred.
- Familiarity with the use of Microsoft Office products is preferred.
- Successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, will be detailed oriented, and safety conscious.
- Must be flexible in handling multiple tasks and have the drive and ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residence required.
This position will require little to no travel. Any travel requested will be local.
