What you can expect as a Quality Control Administrative Assistant for West Star at the Patterson Facility:

This position provides administrative support for the Quality Assurance department. It requires strong organization and attention to detail, intermediate to advanced knowledge of Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and strong telephone skills. One of the main duties of this position will be reviewing work orders for completion, accuracy, and proper documentation. However, job duties may vary each day.

You will be ESSENTIAL to many FUNCTIONS including:

  • Assist Quality Control (QC) Inspectors with aircraft return-to-service documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Assist the Quality Assurance Inspectors with collecting, verifying and organizing all necessary documentation for completion of work order packages.
  • Organize Maintenance documentation into an established standardized format for ease of review.
  • Coordinate with QC Inspectors and Production Team Leaders to collect, verify, and organize all necessary documentation for work order packages and ensure proper completion, including printing collating, and organizing maintenance work cards from the customers’ tracking system.
  • Preparefiles in the inspection “Q” drive with all necessary documentation before aircraft arrival, ensuring accurate records are maintained throughout the maintenance process.
  • Send component letters to customers once landing gear teardown has been completed, providing details on repair status and project evaluation.
  • Familiarization with and understanding of the Repair Station Quality Control Manual.
  • Assist Aircraft Research Analyst with aircraft records research support as needed.
  • Assist Technical Publications Controller with technical publications updates and distribution as needed
  • Assist The Quality Assurance Inspectors with log entry creation and data entry as needed.
  • Word processing and preparation of letters and other documents, as assigned.
  • Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English.
  • Perform and document detailed incoming and out-going inventory of customer records. This will require lifting boxes of records weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Additional duties as needed by the Manager of Quality Control.
Qualifications

What you’ll need to bring with you:

Your Education

A High school diploma or equivalent. A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.

Your Experience

Prior experience reviewing aircraft maintenance records preferred.

2+ years office administration experience.

Word processing, typing and 10 key by touch are required.

Your Initiative:

Your Sense Of Responsibility:

Attend work every day as scheduled to include overtime and weekend assignments.

Able to travel, work weekends, overtime, and any shift as required.

Notify supervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work.

Must have reliable transportation to get to work each and every day. 

Must perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.

Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.

Maintain customer-oriented work habits.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to input and retrieve information from computers

Experience with Microsoft products especially Outlook, Word, and Excel spreadsheets

Work independently with minimal supervision
