We’re looking for a hands-on Health & Safety Advisor to join our team on a part-time basis (around 15 to 20 hours per week). This is a practical role where you’ll be working directly with managers, employees, and contractors to make sure our workplaces are safe, compliant, and well-supported.
What You’Ll Be Doing:
- Leading the charge for all things Health & Safety across the business
- Developing and implementing health & safety procedures and policies.
- Identifying hazards, assessing risks, and ensuring compliance with legislation.
- Leading incident investigations and health & safety committee meetings.
- Preparing quarterly health & safety reports and presenting to the Senior Leadership Team.
- Keeping contractor management records up to date and liaising directly with contractors and managers.
- Supporting return-to-work plans for injured employees.
- Running site inspections, inductions, and safety training.
What We’Re Looking For:
- At least 3 years in a Health & Safety Advisory role.
- Strong, practical knowledge of NZ Health, Safety & Wellbeing legislation.
- Skilled in risk management, auditing, and incident investigations.
- Great relationship-building skills and confident working across all levels of the business.
- Organised, proactive, and comfortable working independently.
- A current, clean driver’s licence is essential.
