Job Description
We are currently looking for a well organised and motivated individual to join our IT team based in our Sydney, Martin Place office. You will be provided with training and guidance to deliver IT support and assist with project work, whilst developing your IT knowledge to become an experienced member of the team. You should possess exceptional attention to detail and have the ability to communicate across all levels of the organisation of 260 people within Australia. Please note this is a 2 year, fixed-term position.
Duties will include (but not limited to):
- Providing a rapid and efficient resolution service to users in our APAC Region with Desktop technical issues by providing email, telephone and face to face technical support;
- Responding to requests for assistance by providing information to enable employees to resolve their problems;
- Managing tickets that are sent to Germany Home office on behalf of users;
- Escalating tickets when required;
- Supporting in the design, development, implementation and maintenance of IT systems and processes;
- Acting as an interface between suppliers/carriers/vendors and the organisation;
- Ensuring all hardware/software installations and routine upgrades are implemented according to Head Office guidelines;
- Managing IT requirements for all new starters including laptop builds and access requests;
- Providing the business with a professional service by ensuring requests are regularly updated and realistic resolution times are provided;
- Fostering and implementing process improvement methodologies to continually enhance desktop support performance;
- Working on ad hoc IT projects as assigned by the IT Manager.
Skills And Experience:
- Ideally a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a desktop support role;
- Ability to converse with employees at all levels of the organisation;
- Good understanding of all aspects of the systems/software development life cycle;
- Technical knowledge of Windows 11, Microsoft Office 365, IT infrastructure and network concepts;
- Good ability to analyse, isolate and interpret business needs and develop appropriate technical solutions;
- Ability to manage multiple problems at once and prioritise issues;
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Comfortable working in a corporate environment.
- Ability to work independently.
Desirable:
- Completed Tertiary qualification in a relevant field.
Australian Citizenship or Permanent residency essential.
