Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Participates in on-call rotation and demonstrate fundamental troubleshooting skills in at least one technical domains
- Contributes to root cause analysis on production issues, proposes solutions and may work on the implementation as-needed
- Participates in local or regional-level outages and contribute to postmortem documentation
- Proactively engages in finding production issues, analyzing, and working as part of the team to resolve them in a timely manner
- Assists in developing training materials for new upcoming technologies as well as runbooks for routine problems with corresponding solutions
- Contributes to project teams to improve network engineering and operations requirements
- Executes/runs lab testing procedures, and may direct engineers to conduct testing as needed
- Identifies gaps in tools and monitoring and work with appropriate teams to prioritize and build solutions
- Demonstrates programming skills to automate routine tasks
- Takes ownership of providing feedback when tools/process needs improvements and communicate the changes to appropriate teams
- Communicates to the owners and may work with the team on implementation, as needed
- Performs additional responsibilities, as assigned
Skills/Qualifications:
- Fundamental level understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies
- Fundamental hands-on experience with network protocols and services
- Fundamental hands-on experience with at least one Cloud Provider (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud) and/or SaaS providers
- Fundamental hands-on experience with scripting and programming languages to support automation
- Fundamental hands-on experience in implementing and managing basic network infrastructures in enterprise environments
- Fundamental hands-on experience with network monitoring, performance optimization, capacity planning, and incident response in high-availability environments
- Fundamental problem-solving abilities to analyze complex network issues, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions to resolve technical challenges
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Intermediate analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Continuous improvement and customer-centric mindset
- Self-driven (to manage workload and outcomes)

- Indirectly responsible for realizing business impact. Work impacts the specific assignments for which they have responsibility

- Works on problems that are relatively small in scope and/or of moderate complexity
- Follows standard practices and procedures
- Strengthens internal working relationships within the team
- Seeks guidance from more senior associates (as needed) on outcomes and how to interface with other systems or teams and sometimes on how to otherwise complete work. Exercises independence on how to complete the work
- Work priorities are almost entirely determined by more senior associates (i.e., sometimes day-to-day guidance)
- Helps train new associates
Working Conditions:
- N/A — this role doesn’t require any environmental conditions inherent to the job that would be considered outside of a normal office environment.
In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
