As a key member of Watts Global Sourcing, the Indirect Sourcing Manager is responsible for establish and manage indirect sourcing strategy, internal stakeholders alignment, source selection & negotiation, as well as manage supplier relationship, ultimately, this person will be accountable to drive cost savings, cost avoidance through total cost of ownership (TCO) approach, ensure KPIs (key performance index) management, and drive control and compliance for assigned categories, such as MRO, office supplies,  IT software and hardware, etc.

Primary Job Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Establish category strategies, execution plan for assigned categories including spend analysis and rationalization
  • Being the subject matter experts of assigned categories on the supplier base, market trends, and cost drivers
  • Design, tailor RFI/RFP, manage SOWs with internal stakeholder, follow source selection process to select service/product providers/suppliers
  • Gain internal stakeholder alignment when applicable
  • Define negotiation strategy and deal structure during source selection plan and execution
  • Work with internal stakeholder, finance partners as well as site champion to establish supplier performance requirements (KPIs)
  • Review supplier goals, performance and establish sustainable cost savings plan year over year
  • Establish control and compliance to ensure enterprise wide compliance to utilize elected suppliers, minimize or eliminate agreement leakage, hence leverage savings
  • Own overall supplier performance, savings, and agreements
  • Able to work with site leadership, finance, site stakeholders to implement execution plan to achieve category goals and objectives

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, sourcing, supply chain management, or similar is required.
  • 7+ years of related Direct and Indirect Sourcing experience.
  • 7+ years working in Indirect Materials and Services purchasing.
  • Specific experience of establishing an indirect sourcing process in new/expanded areas is required.
  • Require strong collaboration and leadership for assigned categories
  • Understand sourcing selection process - RFP, SOW, KPIs; strong supplier management skills
  • Be able to drive accountability with each site key stakeholders
  • Great communicator for value proposition.
  • Must be skilled in principles and techniques of negotiations, strategy planning and preparation, as well as contract writing.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, duties and tasks concurrently and develop strong support relationships with functional leaders and key site operations personnel across all business units.
  • Travel required: 30%

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA preferred.
  • Experience working at a manufacturing company highly preferred.

While performing the job duties, you will be working in an office environment. You will be required to work in the office at the North Andover, MA location three days per week (Monday – Wednesday) and can work remotely two days per week (Thursday and Friday).

Physical Requirements: Specific physical abilities required for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Ability to remain seated/standing at a desk or workstation for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks like typing on a keyboard or using a mouse for extended periods.
  • Ability to read documents and communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, with management, coworkers, and third parties.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers, printers, phones, and copiers.
  • Ability to physically move around the office and occasionally lift and carry light objects, such as office supplies, documents, or small equipment.
