About The Role

The Community Legal Educator Coordinator leads the design, delivery and evaluation of Community Legal Education (CLE) across the Northern Territory. With a focus on the Night Patrol CLE program, you’ll ensure education is accessible, culturally responsive and outcome driven.

This is a leadership role where you’ll guide a skilled team, build strong relationships with communities, and help shape best practice CLE delivery in both urban and remote settings.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Develop and implement NAAJA’s CLE plan in line with strategic goals and funding agreements
  • Lead and support a team delivering innovative, community-based legal education
  • Build connections with communities and Law and Justice groups, tailoring CLE to local needs
  • Oversee CLE publications, workshops and digital resources
  • Ensure quality control, reporting, compliance and best practice delivery
  • Represent NAAJA in external forums and champion the role of CLE in justice reform

What You’Ll Bring

  • Diploma/degree in law or equivalent experience in the justice system
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Proven experience in community engagement and cross-cultural communication
  • High-level knowledge of NT civil and criminal justice systems
  • Understanding of best practice CLE delivery in the NT context
  • Commitment to NAAJA’s cultural competency framework
  • Willingness to travel, including to remote communities
  • NT Ochre Card (or ability to obtain), criminal history clearance, and NT driver’s licence
