The Role
As Assistant Revenue Manager, you will work closely with our dedicated and experienced Director of Revenue to maximise the revenue for the hotel. Working in a team of two, your high attention to detail and ability to interpret data will help contribute to our overall revenue management of the hotel. This position could be well-suited for hoteliers with a keen interest in revenue management to gain exposure to all aspects of revenue. This position can be part-time permanent, for the right candidate. Please note this position is based onsite.
Day-to-day duties include, but are not limited to:
- Work closely with the GM, DOR and as part of the Hotel Revenue Optimisation team
- Assist in collating hotel reports relating to reservation or sales tracking and forecasting
- Assist in pricing, including for Groups
- Manage wholesale agent and inbound tour operator allotment details
- Assist with rate loading and distribution
What you will bring
- Solid Microsoft Excel skills
- Sound experience with Hotel PMS, CRS, Revenue Management System and channel managers (experience with Opera cloud, IHotelier, TravelClick, SiteMinder, IDeaS and/or Lighthouse products is highly desirable)
- Previous exposure to hotel distribution, desired but not necessary
- A keen eye for detail, and ability to work independently and under pressure at times
- A keen passion for all things revenue management
- Previous experience in a 5-star hotel environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
