This Role
As our Salesforce Platform Manager, you’ll be working with the Head of Enterprise Platforms and leading a team of Salesforce Admins and a Technical Lead. You’ll be instrumental in shaping Employment Hero’s Salesforce ecosystem, ensuring it scales globally, is AI-ready, and delivers measurable value across GTM, CX, and Finance teams - supporting our mission to make employment easier and more valuable for everyone.
Your key focus areas will be:
- Driving the strategic roadmap for Salesforce, ensuring the platform is scalable, AI-enabled, and aligned with business priorities.
- Embedding platform governance, automation, and best practices to maximise adoption and ROI across GTM, CX, and Finance.
- Leading and developing a high-performing Salesforce team, balancing BAU support with global roadmap execution.
- Championing Salesforce as the single source of truth for customer data, driving cross-functional adoption and trusted insights.
This Will Include
Salesforce Strategy & Ownership
- Define and evolve the strategic roadmap for Salesforce in alignment with GTM, CX, Product and Finance business priorities.
- Anticipate and close Salesforce capability gaps, aligning the platform with current operations and forecasting future needs, including automation, AI, and global scalability.
- Prioritise and balance stakeholder needs with available capacity, ensuring seamless BAU delivery while advancing strategic platform initiatives.
Product-Led Platform Management
- Embed structured intake, prioritisation, and backlog management for Salesforce initiatives.
- Champion user experience, data quality, and outcome-based delivery over reactive configuration.
- Encourage outcome-driven initiatives, with a focus on measurable success contributing to improved internal and external user experience.
Cross-functional Collaboration & Prioritisation
- Partner with RevOps, CX Ops, Finance, Process Design, Product and Data & Insights to define high-impact initiatives.
- Translate business requirements into actionable platform solutions that balance speed, governance, and scalability.
Execution Oversight
- Work closely with Salesforce Developers, and Enterprise Tech team members to ensure delivery is to a high standard, contributing a measurable impact to the business.
- Manage workloads via Sprint Planning, and represent Salesforce delivery to the wider business.
- Foster transparency from delivery-level to executive leadership - ensuring the business is clear on key workstreams and their status.
Platform Maturity & AI Readiness
- Ensure Salesforce is AI-ready, with robust and automated datapoints - scalable across multi-region operations.
- Actively track and evaluate Salesforce’s product roadmap (including Einstein, GPT, and Data Cloud capabilities), identifying opportunities to embed AI into workflows, reporting, and automation.
- Explore and integrate AI solutions both native to salesforce, and adjacent to Salesforce (e.g. external AI tools, ML models, or custom integrations) where they can improve business outcomes.
- Promote data integrity, governance, and enterprise-wide enablement to ensure AI features deliver accurate, trusted insights.
- Act as the steward of Salesforce as the single source of truth for customer data, driving toward a true 360° customer view across GTM, CX, and Finance functions.
- Champion cross-functional adoption of Salesforce as the central hub for customer engagement, ensuring integrations and processes reinforce completeness, accuracy, and usability of data.
- Monitor license utilisation and feature adoption, ensuring the business maximises ROI from Salesforce products and takes advantage of new capabilities released each cycle.
Team Leadership
- Lead and develop a team of Salesforce Administrators and a Technical Lead, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Provide mentoring, coaching, and guidance to build platform expertise, grow technical and functional capability, and support individual career development.
- Set clear priorities and expectations, ensuring the team can balance BAU support with roadmap execution.
- Champion best practices in Salesforce administration, configuration, and development, embedding governance and quality standards into delivery.
- Act as a role model for cross-functional engagement, encouraging the team to proactively partner with stakeholders across GTM, CX, and Finance functions.
Stakeholder Engagement, Vendor Management & Communication
- Act as the trusted partner and voice of internal Salesforce users across GTM, CX, and Finance, ensuring their needs are understood and represented in platform decisions.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with business leaders to influence prioritisation and drive alignment between platform capabilities and strategic objectives.
- Provide transparent, timely updates on roadmap progress, decisions, and trade-offs, ensuring clarity and trust with stakeholders at all levels.
- Champion adoption and change management by communicating the value and impact of Salesforce initiatives in business-friendly language.
- Manage relationships with Salesforce and third-party vendors, including contract negotiations, renewals, and licensing agreements, to ensure commercial value and platform alignment with business needs.

Who You Are
To thrive at Employment Hero, you’ll need to embody The EH Way - operating with focus, agility, and an obsession with impact. For this role, you’ll also bring
- 8+ years of Salesforce platform leadership experience, ideally within fast-scaling or global SaaS organisations.
- Extensive expertise in Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud, with additional exposure to advanced modules such as CPQ, Zuora, and Pardot/Marketing Cloud highly desirable.
- Proven track record of platform governance and security oversight, including licensing optimisation, compliance frameworks, and audit readiness.
- Strong technical fluency: ability to oversee and guide solution design; understanding of Apex, Visualforce, Lightning development, CI/CD Pipelines and API/integration patterns is advantageous.
- Advanced product management capability: demonstrated experience leading multi-year roadmaps, backlog governance, structured intake/prioritisation, and alignment to business OKRs.
- Strategic business translation: ability to convert complex business requirements into scalable Salesforce capabilities, balancing innovation with platform health.
- Deep understanding of data modelling and architecture, with experience mapping business capabilities and aligning process-to-platform design.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influence skills, with experience navigating senior executive, technical, and non-technical business audiences.
- AI and automation enablement: exposure to Salesforce Einstein, GPT, predictive analytics, and automation platforms, with the ability to embed these into business workflows.
- People and team leadership: demonstrated success in building, managing, and mentoring Salesforce teams (Admins, Analysts, Technical Leads, or Developers).
- Global platform scaling experience: familiarity with multi-region Salesforce deployments, localisation requirements, SLA management, and global governance models is a strong plus.
