About the role 
 
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with specialised expertise in data migration to play a pivotal role in a large-scale customer transition program supporting merger activities. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-profile initiative that will shape the foundation of a new bank. You will take ownership of requirements and user stories across the full migration lifecycle, including data mapping, field tracing, integration, and centralisation within a unified data lake. Working closely with data engineers, you will also lead validation and testing to ensure accuracy, completeness, and a seamless experience for customers.

Collaboration will be at the core of this role, as you work with business stakeholders, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and technology leads to deliver effective and sustainable outcomes. Alongside project delivery, you will contribute to the growth of our Business Analyst Community of Practice, sharing knowledge and embedding best practice to build maturity across the team.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Partnering with key stakeholders to facilitate and support new and in-flight initiatives in ideation, discovery and delivery.
  • Contributing to scoping activities, creation of key story/requirements, customer reporting and process changes to understand the rationale for change and desired outcomes
  • Identifying risks, interdependencies and cross-functional business and technology impacts 
  • Collaborating with design and frontline teams to understand problems our customers are experiencing.
  • Understanding legal and compliance obligations and engaging with business owners to ensure these are met.
  • Partnering with Product Owners and Program Directors to ensure Objectives, Key Results and Performance Targets are met or exceeded
  • Creating new and updating existing business blueprints (including service blueprint and process design) to capture member customer touch points.
  • Identifying, reviewing and implementing metrics that will measure performance of epics and features 
  • Contributing to the planning and support of business readiness activities.
  • Actively participating as a member of the Business Analyst practice to drive improvements in the Business Analyst capability.
  • Mentoring and developing other Business Analysts in the team.

About You

To be considered, you are a Senior Business Analyst with proven experience leading data migration, data mapping, or large-scale data integration projects, ideally within a customer-focused environment

Additionally, it’s essential that you have experience with one or more of the following:

  • Process analysis and documentation.
  • Financial services industry experience.  
  • Customer centric product development.
  • Technical interface specification development.
  • SAFe or scrum certification.

We Also Seek:

  • Solid experience across all facets of business analysis.
  • Proven background in delivery focused environments with experience collaborating across Business and IT delivery teams.
  • Engaging and well-developed communication style with strong ability to impact and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to translate technical data to non-technical audiences.
  • Adaptable and capable in dealing with complexities and ambiguity in a constantly evolving environment.
  • Experience managing conflicting priorities and issues across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in requirements management, utilizing both Waterfall and Agile methodologies. 
  • Proven agile methodology experience and proactive promoter of lean, agile best practices.
  • Completion of Analyst Certification such as BABOK, Lean Six Sigma.
