The Role
We are looking for an experienced and committed tutor to deliver our Pathways into Work course at the Brockley Rise Centre.
What You’Ll Teach
Pathways into Work is designed to support adults with learning disabilities in preparing for and accessing meaningful employment. The course combines practical skill-building with supported employment practices, helping learners to:
- identify their individual strengths and interests
- develop CVs, cover letters and other job-seeking tools
- practise workplace communication and behaviour
- build confidence in taking steps towards their employment goals.
The course runs for 11 weeks per term, with 2-hour weekly sessions, working with groups of around eight to 10 adult learners. Delivery days/times will be agreed based on your availability and take place at the Brockley Rise Centre.
Who You’Ll Teach
You will be teaching adults with mental health conditions or additional learning support needs within mixed ability groups, from complete beginners to returning learners who want to build on past experience.

We are looking for someone who has:
- a strong background in employability tutoring
- experience (or willingness to develop skills) in working with adults with additional support needs
- a patient, inclusive and flexible teaching style
- commitment to delivering high-quality, engaging and supportive sessions
- creativity, energy and empathy and a genuine passion for making a real difference in learners’ lives.
