Join our Supported Learning and Mindlift Team at Adult Learning Lewisham! 

The Role

Are you passionate about information technology and eager to share your knowledge? We are looking for an experienced and committed ICT tutor to deliver inspiring and practical courses for adults.

What You’Ll Teach

You’ll design and deliver engaging classes focused on:

  • everyday ICT skills and their practical use in daily life
  • digital art and creative use of technology.

Each course runs for 11 weeks per term, with weekly 2-hour sessions, working with groups of around nine to 11 adult learners. Delivery day/time to be arranged based on your availability and centre resources at the Brockley Rise Centre.

Who You’Ll Teach

You will be teaching adults with mental health conditions or additional learning support needs within mixed ability groups, from complete beginners to returning learners who want to build on past experience.

  • a strong background in ICT tutoring across a range of skills and settings
  • experience (or willingness to develop skills) in supporting adults with additional needs
  • a patient, inclusive, and flexible teaching approach
  • a commitment to delivering high-quality, engaging sessions
  • creativity, patience, and energy in making learning enjoyable
  • passion for making technology accessible to all abilities
  • dedication to equipping learners with essential everyday IT skills.
