We are looking for a highly skilled and hands-on IT Specialist to be the first technology hire supporting our operations in Asia. This role will provide end-to-end technical support across the region — from frontline user support to advanced troubleshooting and infrastructure management.

This is a unique opportunity for an IT professional who thrives in a startup environment within a global organization — someone who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves, solving problems independently, and laying the foundation for IT services in Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, and Greater China. This is a full time role, in the designated office 5 days per week. 

Key Responsibilities

End-User & Technical Support:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for IT issues across the North Asia region (onsite and remote).
  • Provide all levels of support (L1–L3): resolving basic user issues, troubleshooting complex system problems, and escalating to global teams when necessary.
  • Support laptops, mobile devices, conferencing systems, printers, and peripherals.

Infrastructure & Systems:

  • Administer local networks, Wi-Fi, and VPNs, ensuring stable and secure connectivity.
  • Manage Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Intune, and collaboration tools.
  • Provide hands-on support for hardware provisioning, imaging, and asset management.
  • Partner with global IT to implement and maintain corporate security standards.

Regional Support & Projects:

  • Provide IT coverage for offices, retail events, and distribution centers across Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, and Greater China.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for regional infrastructure needs.
  • Support IT projects and rollouts, ensuring smooth adoption in the North Asia region.

Foundational & Pioneering Role:

  • Establish IT best practices in the region aligned with global policies.
  • Document processes, create user guides, and educate employees on IT tools and security.
  • Lay the groundwork for future IT team expansion in North Asia.

Qualifications & Skills

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of IT experience, with strong hands-on exposure to both end-user support and infrastructure management.
  • Experience working as a sole IT contact or in a lean regional setup is a plus.

Technical Skills:

  • Expertise with Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Intune, and Windows environments (Mac support experience a plus).
  • Strong networking knowledge (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, firewalls).
  • Familiarity with cloud services (Azure, AWS), SaaS platforms, and collaboration tools (Zoom, Teams).
  • Working knowledge of IT security and compliance best practices.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong service mindset with the ability to support users at all levels.
  • Highly self-sufficient and proactive — able to operate independently in a new region.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; Cantonese, Mandarin, or Japanese a plus.
