About the role:
We’re expanding our team and looking for a Utilities Operative to join our long-standing Developer Services Framework in the Severn Trent Water Region. With over 10 years of successful delivery, this is a great opportunity to be part of a trusted and growing team.
As a Team Operative, you’ll work as part of a crew delivering clean water installations ranging from 25mm to 500mm. You’ll ensure all works are completed safely, to high standards, and in line with health & safety procedures. Your focus will be on delivering excellent service, maintaining quality, and supporting your team to meet deadlines.
This is a site-based role and involves weekend working and you maybe included in the callout/standby rota.
What will your day look like…
• Working as a part of a team reporting to the team leader looking to support and deliver the works that has been programmed to you and your team ensuring all deadlines are met and are within line with KPIs and operational requirements
• Develop techniques and skills to undertake clean water operations so you can overcome any problem with confidence and deliver safely to a high standard
• Implementing and ensuring site health and safety is adhered too by all on site at all times to ensure works delivered safely
• Support team by identify and putting in controls to risks ensuring everybody gets home to their families every night
• Work with your team to ensure you have the appropriate resource levels to deliver your schedule your work
• Proactively work with our customers to prevent dis-satisfaction
• Feedback to team and on ways to improve the way do things
• Support the use of new technologies and new ways of working
• Complete the required paperwork/systems in a timely manner and to the highest of detail and quality
About you…
Full Valid UK Driving Licence
NRSWA operative level
Medium Risk Confined Space Training
Emergency first aid
Cable Avoidance (CAT)– EUSR CAT 1
Safe Digging Techniques – EUSR CAT 2
EUSR Water Hygiene
Upto10t Excavator Qualification(preferable)
Upto10t Dumper Qualification
NCO(Water) Level 1(preferable)
Deep Excavation/Trench Support Qualification(preferable)
Line stopping Knowledge/Experience(preferable)
Under pressure Drilling Experience/Training(preferable)
Banksman and Slings man
