By joining us in Dolny Kubin (Slovakia), Katowice (Poland) or Cluj (Romania) as Business Development Manager driving sales growth and profitability for Professional Tools within the Utility Segment across Eastern Europe.

In this position, you will work closely with local electrical utility companies, utility subcontractors, and key channel partners to develop and implement the regional business plan. You will cultivate positive relationships in the utility sector, demonstrate product features, provide insights to teams, and collaborate with sales to improve efficiency. This position reports to the Head of Business Development in Europe and offers the opportunity to shape and grow our presence in the utilities market.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Identifying Customer Needs: Working with key electrical utility customers to uncover unmet needs and provide effective solutions from our Professional Tools offerings
  • Managing Sales Processes: Performing field tests, developing specifications with collaborators, and coordinating the full sales process to close deals efficiently
  • Growing the Industry Focus: Guiding, coordinating, and expanding the utility segment by engaging directly with end customers and fostering relationships with channel partners
  • Coaching and Leading Sales Teams: Providing direction and support to Area Sales Managers and Sales Representatives
  • Developing Sales Strategies: Collaborating with your supervisor to create and implement strategic plans aimed at increasing sales and profitability within the industry
  • Building Customer Relationships: Being customer-facing, developing, and maintaining strong relationships with key utility customers and strategic channel partners 
  • Product Demonstrations & Technical Support: Performing product demos, training, and providing technical support to end users and partners
  • Market Insights & Planning: Acting as a subject matter expert, providing input to Product Management and Engineering, and developing annual business plans and sales forecasts to drive market growth

Who You Are:

You actively listen and adapt communication to suit diverse partners, ensuring clarity and understanding. You foster collaboration and teamwork across the organization, helping colleagues achieve shared objectives. Encouraging learning, embracing new technologies, and maintaining an open mind toward innovation are central to your approach. You anticipate customer needs, develop strategic plans by applying market research and competitor analysis. You build connections in the utility sector, perform product demonstrations, and exchange insights with other teams. 

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Technical degree (Mechanical/Civil Engineering) or equivalent experience
  • Proven sales or business development experience in a complex technical industrial environment, ideally in utilities, managing multiple sales channels and understanding tenders and direct sales
  • Strong technical knowledge of machines, tools, and emerging technologies
  • Excellent presentation and relationship-building skills at all levels
  • Proficiency with CRM and MS Office tools
  • Fluent in English and the local language
  • Willingness to travel extensively (around 50%) and a valid driver’s license
