About The Job:

PURPOSE STATEMENT:
The Vice President of Outpatient Services provides the leadership and strategic planning support for all outpatient programs, ensuring the delivery of clinical programs that meet the needs of the facility and community. Responsibilities include providing consultation for the overall clinical programming, administrative processes of budgetary control and management systems for all outpatient service lines. This position contributes to the company’s strategic planning objectives and quality improvement efforts while providing guidance to various individual markets.

Roles And Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

  • Develops strategic goals and objectives for overall outpatient facility performance clinically and fiscally.
  • Identifies markets of opportunity, and with consultation with administration, oversees planning, development and implementation of outpatient services program service lines specific to each program location.
  • Assists in developing business development and marketing strategies for referral management and community partnership in surrounding areas of each program.
  • Collaborates and coordinates with other departmental leaders to ensure each program complies with regulatory and accreditation requirements, quality standards, and best practices.
  • Provides onsite consultation for each facility and acts as a resource to staff as needed, and assists with the selection and onboarding of OP Director hires.
  • Evaluates program effectiveness and formulates operational workflows and actions plans for improvement as needed.
  • Gathers and monitors discrepancies between budget and actual performance and assists in budgetary expense management discussions for programs.
  • Provides continuity of care education and speaking engagements as requested or necessary for community development.
  • Expands and develops service lines, programming and budgetary needs for specialty services to include but not limited to partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient clinics.
  • Ensures evidenced based practices and models within program development complete with quality performance improvement and outcome analysis.
  • Develops a continuity of care program model and culture of patient safety and reduced recidivism in the community.
  • Develops expedited referral management and active treatment processes to ensure smooth transition of care for patients and referrals in the community.
  • Creates streamlined data management systems for ongoing analysis and performance improvement.
  • Leads and facilitates conference calls and meetings for specialty clinic directors to promote cohesion and continuous development and growth.
  • Participates in management activities to promote organizational cohesiveness.
  • Ensures that reports and requests are prepared in a timely fashion for committee functions
  • Collaborates facility relationships between centers and community partners to facilitate outpatient services growth and develops/maintains community relationships to foster community collaboration with the organization.

Education/Experience/Skill Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or similar healthcare field preferred.
  • Eight or more years’ experience in behavioral health leadership role required.
  • Extensive knowledge in the continuum of care and clinical care in a variety of settings, regulatory standards, financial statement analysis.
  • Experience in training and mentoring executive leadership on a national level, building data analysis applications for business development and efficiency, developing clinical programming, and conducting program quality evaluations, and writing executive level reports for board of directors and investors in various settings.
  • Strong project management skills with ability to multitask large enterprise initiatives.

Licenses/Designations/Certifications:

LCSW, LPC, or other independent clinical license preferred.

Supervisory Requirements:

Seven or more years’ management experience in social/clinical services required.
