Job Purpose
Manager, Human Resources – Learning & Development plays a strategic role in strengthening employee capabilities and driving organizational performance. Reporting to the Senior Manager for HR Operations, this position ensures that all learning and development efforts are aligned with business objectives and deliver measurable results.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Analyze data and feedback to identify training priorities
• Prepare annual plan for L&D programs and submit for approval
• Monitor training metrics and Key Performance Indicators
• Collect data and analyze the impact of long-term and specific initiatives
• Apply a systematic process for analyzing human performance gaps and for closing them
• Use learning metrics and analytics to measure the impact of learning solutions
• Ensure the company’s learning and development-related services are performed to align with company strategy and that will increase performance, organizational trust, and satisfaction across multiple stakeholders
• Adheres to industry best practices and standards when developing learning and performance solutions
• Design and develop informal and formal learning solutions using a variety of methods
• Tracks learning programs through the Learning Management System and provides training metrics as required
• Deliver informal and formal learning solutions in a manner that is both engaging and effective
• Must provide a pleasant environment of acceptance that results in better development, and interpersonal skills are beneficial
• Manages and tracks the development of training and revises current training to continuously improve learning and development experiences by integrating new methods, approaches and content
• Develops and implements metrics and monitoring plan to demonstrate the impact training has on improving performance
• Ability to understand and implement policies, procedures, and processes that relate to the organizational plans
• Deliver and improve New Employee Orientations (NEO)
• Help managers develop their team members through career pathing
• Initiate Foundational Courses for Academy Programs for Freshers and Employee Upskilling
• Ability to comfortably interact with all levels of employees, including frontline team members through executive leadership
• Stays current with industry trends in leadership, managerial, and professional development learning programs that encompass integrating new modalities such as social learning, mobile delivery and other learning methods
• Manage the training programs and learning experiences for adult learners in a site
• Develops/implements training programs for staff, which may include management development programs
• Designs learning strategies to fill needs as identified through analysis and in partnership with Trainers and Operations leaders
• Map existing learning assets, identify capability development needs not met by current assets and create viable plans that effectively address the business needs
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned by immediate superior
• Use, protect and disclose patients’ protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards
• Understand and comply with Information Security and HIPAA policies and procedures at all times
• Limit viewing of PHI to the absolute minimum as necessary to perform assigned duties
Qualifications
• Graduate of Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Behavioral Sciences, HR Management or equivalent
• 5 years of related working experienced handling Learning and Development
• Strong English communication skills
• Good project management skills and ability to communicate effectively with various levels in the organization
• Adept in MS office applications
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate well at all levels of the organization
• Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results oriented
Working Conditions
• Work Set-Up: Onsite
• Work Schedule: Day or mid-shift; must be flexible to accommodate business needs.
• Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to move around the work area; Sit; perform manual tasks; operate tools and other office equipment such as computer, computer peripherals and telephones; extend arms; kneel; talk and hear.
• Mental Demands: The employee must be able to follow directions, collaborate with others, and handle stress.
