The Senior Civil Engineer – Municipal is responsible for delivering innovative projects in roadway, public utility, and multimodal transportation. This senior-level role focuses on the planning, design, and construction administration of complex municipal systems. The position requires strong technical expertise, interdisciplinary coordination, and the ability to manage stakeholder engagement with DOTs, municipalities, and the public.

• Lead the design of roadways, intersections, roundabouts, and complete streets projects.
• Manage the design of pump stations, wastewater collection systems, and water distribution systems.
• Oversee traffic studies, safety audits, and transportation planning to support infrastructure design.
• Conduct pavement design, grading, and drainage system analysis for transportation corridors.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, DOT representatives, and local agencies to align on scopes, schedules, and budgets.
• Lead field inspections to ensure roadway and utility construction conforms with plans, specifications, and safety standards.
• Mentor junior engineers in roadway design, infrastructure codes, and construction administration practices.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• PE licensure required.
• 10+ years of professional experience in transportation/infrastructure projects, or 10+ years as a licensed PE.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, and hydrology/hydraulics software.
• Advanced knowledge of AASHTO, MUTCD, and DOT roadway standards.
• Experience with transportation modeling, public utility coordination and design, geometric roadway design, and transportation planning.
• Ability to integrate multimodal design, including pedestrian, bicycle, and transit elements.
• Expertise in hydraulic analyses, utility planning, and asset management planning.
