A Day in the Life of an Environmental Health & Safety Intern:
We are looking for inquisitive and driven individuals with a passion to innovate. Bring your experience and ideas and help us build a world-class global EHS team while keeping safety a top priority for the company. As an EHS Intern at Bell, you can expect to support the quality and safety teams by analyzing regulations at the local, state, and federal levels. Some job responsibilities may include analyzing government policies to determine the impact on Bell Operations. Develop and implement plans to comply with these regulations. Analyze standards, in terms of engineering concepts, and apply these standards to meet specific requirements. Assists in safety inspection of equipment and/or audits of processes for conformance with safety and environmental compliance requirements (OSHA, EPA, and other federal agencies,) and Bell policy/procedures. Participates in injury/incident investigations. Assists in the determination of root-cause analysis and recommends corrective/preventive actions to avoid recurrence of said injuries/incidents.
Qualifications
What You Will Need:
- Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher with a major in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Sustainability, or a related Science degree strongly preferred.
- Minimum 60 credit hours completed by the start of the internship (June 1, 2026) or prior Bell internship experience.
- Able to complete the entire 10 weeks of the internship: June 1– August 7, 2026.
- 3.0 GPA preferred.
Preference will be given to candidates that are rising Junior classification during the 2025 internship.

- Previous experience/knowledge of Microsoft Office products: Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Must possess critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Previous work or cohort experience in an environmental, health, safety, sustainability, or a related field.
- Personal discipline, organizational skills, interpersonal communication, leadership skills.
- Passion for their role.
- Interest in the aerospace/manufacturing industry.
