Visualization Specialist - Contract

The task of the Mobility Design & Concept team is to identify and de-code future market and consumer trends, develop a future mobility vision for the group, create concepts to represent that vision, and visualize it in a compelling and convincing story, both from user perspective and our Group.

The responsibility of the contract Visualization Specialist is to bring these visions, concepts and designs to life, using various state of the art animation programs, video and sound editing, and motion graphics software.

The Visualization specialist will be working with the design and CAD team at ICC, from early phase concept development, delivering initial quick results to help evaluate the concepts, to a more solid story. Once a final story is established he/she will help create a more detailed and elaborate animated story. In addition he/she will be supporting the VR/MR team to enhance the visual quality and realism of the experience.

This output will be presented to internal ICC and Group Innovation stakeholders, at Group Innovation annual Future Mobility Days internal trade show, and potentially as external promotion material for communication purposes.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Understanding and communicating with concept development and automotive design team
• Support CAD modeling team with data prep, and surface modeling
• Create animated and visual storyboards for future concepts
• Create, collect, develop artistic to realistic sceneries based on needs of different mobility concepts
• Create, collect, develop artistic to realistic material library for use in mobility concepts
• Create VR/MR experiences both for internal evaluation and final presentation
• Integrate figure animations for realistically referenced work
• Post production of animations including graphics, sound and other audio special effects
 

Qualifications

 
  • Education Requirements
  • Required: BFA Animation & Visual effects or Entertainment design, or BSC in transportation Design.
  • Desired: MSc Animation & Visual effects or Entertainment design, or MSc in Transportation Design
  • Required Experience
  • • 3-5 years of Visualization experience in automotive, entertainment or other
  • General Skills
  • Self-motivated, flexible individual with high degree of ownership and accountability for results
  • • Analytical and conceptual thinking – using logic and reason, creative and strategic
  • • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams as the technology lead for the domain
  • • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Software Skills
  • • Required Software skills: Alias, Blender, Maya, VRED, Unreal, and video/audio/motion graphics editing programs.
  • • Desired Software skill: Unity
