Introduction To The Position:

The role is pivotal in advancing clinical nursing practice, supporting staff development, and improving patient outcomes. With advanced education and extensive clinical experience, you will serve as a clinical expert, educator and change agent, bridging the gap between evidence-based practice and patient-centered care. You will be integral to maintaining high standards of care, enhancing staff competencies, and supporting interdisciplinary collaboration within the department.

Responsibilities:

You Will Be Responsible To:

  • carry out teaching activities related to clinical care, staff development, and assist in patient care management daily, including staff performance assessments
  • ensure competency development of nursing staff while evaluating their
  • monitor nursing staff skills to identify gaps in theory and its application in practice
  • ensure timely updating of credentials, participate in establishing care standards with unit staff, and monitor care delivery according to established standards
  • monitor and facilitate clinical outcomes of patients, develop and monitor clinical indicators
  • review clinical care processes of assigned areas and clinical care guidelines
  • collaborate with infection control teams to investigate and address incidents or outbreaks related to instrument sterilization or equipment contamination
  • participate in quality assurance activities, including to conduct audits and carry out appropriateness of emergency processes to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices
  • collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction
  • provide training and mentorship to Nurse Instructors, offer guidance, support, and expertise to facilitate their professional growth and development in nursing education
  • engage in nursing research and evidence-based practice initiatives, contribute to advancement of knowledge within the specialty area and incorporate best available evidence into clinical practice
  

Requirements:

You Should Have:

  • a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, preferably a Master’s degree in the same
  • a valid license from the Pakistan Nursing and Midwifery Council and at least five years of nursing experience, including two years of experience at nursing management level involving clinical teaching at a tertiary care hospital
  • excellent exposure to teaching and learning, developing educational plans, conducting independent courses, and implementing in-service sessions
  • certification in specialty-based competencies, including BLS, ACLS, ECG interpretation, ventilation management, Hemodialysis, etc.
  • strong interpersonal skills, particularly communication skills and ability to lead people
  • ability to effectively work with multidisciplinary teams and deliver as per expectations in teams as well as independently
  • willingness to work in shift duties, if required.
