Product Manager (Security Technology Products)

• This is a remote position.
• Title: Product Manager (Security Technology Products)
• Schedule: 20 hours per week, 10 AM - 2 PM PST with options for flexibility.

About The Role

You will work with a global solutions provider specializing in the distribution of security technology (X-ray equipment, CCTV, networking hardware, etc.), plus associated consulting and logistics services. Your role will help ensure products are accurately represented, certified properly, and that sales/client engagement is supported through your expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Acts as liaison between sales, marketing, manufacturers, and certifying bodies.
• Conduct industry and market research to track trends, competitive offerings, and regulatory changes in security technology (especially X-ray and surveillance systems).
• Review and verify product specifications, brochures, and technical data sheets for accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with OEMs and certification bodies to process product certification. Comply with requirements to ensure products meet required standards (e.g., CE, UL, etc.), regulatory requirements, and that documentation is in order.
• Develop product presentations tailored fit for a specific client's needs.
• Deliver virtual product training for the sales team to build deep knowledge of product lines, certification status, strengths, and limitations.

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills

• 3-5 years of product management experience, preferably with hardware or security technology products.
• Must have strong English command with minimal accent for client-facing presentations.
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; HubSpot knowledge is a plus.
• Good presentation skills; ability to train virtually.
• Strong capability in technical documentation and specs, with an eye for detail.
• Familiarity with regulatory / certification requirements for security tech (e.g., CE, UL, ISO, etc.) is a plus.
• Ability to translate technical details into client-friendly presentations
