The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an ambitious individual for an opportunity to join our Auckland team as a Health and Safety Cadet. This is a permanent, full-time position offering real potential for career advancement within the company.
The successful candidate will work with our project teams and be involved in construction projects that cover a broad range of build sectors including commercial, healthcare, education and retail.
To be considered for this opportunity any candidate must have a genuine interest in construction and committed to forging a successful career within the Health and Safety field. Ideally you will have or be working towards a Cert IV in Health and Safety or above although a construction trade or relevant tertiary background would also be desirable. This is your chance to gain the appropriate training to further your career in commercial construction.
Our Cadetship Programme is a unique opportunity for graduates to gain practical, hands-on experience with an industry leader. Through a structured learning pathway, cadets will work across all facets of construction, gaining valuable insights from tender stage through to project completion.
A Health and Safety Cadet
As a Health and Safety Cadet, you will be trained through exposure to how to best promote best practice behaviours and the planning of safe practical work methods at all levels to ensure every team member embraces a culture of providing and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for everyone involved in or affected by our business.
Working closely with the Regional Health and Safety Manager, you will learn to work proactively within the teams of the regional business and its supply chain to assist with the establishment, implementation, monitoring and improvement of safety processes and procedures.
