Job/Position Main Responsibilities
- Develop and enforce health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA, corporate standards, and other regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses; recommend corrective actions.
- Organize and deliver safety training programs for employees and management.
- Maintain records of safety-related incidents, training, and compliance documentation.
- Collaborate with HR, Operations, and Facilities teams to ensure safety standards are integrated into daily operations.
- Serve as the primary contact for regulatory agencies and manage compliance reporting.
- Monitor and analyze safety performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Stay current with industry best practices and regulatory changes.
- Participates in, understands, supports, and adheres to all Safety and Quality policies and requirements.
Candidate Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety management role, preferably in an automotive manufacturing environment (International organization experience is a plus)
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. :
- Professional certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional), CHST, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- This position has 1-2 direct reports

- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from employees, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to create PowerPoints and other documents that share the status of safety in the workplace while conforming to a prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or boards of directors.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Proficiency of Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to use word processing, spreadsheet applications.
- Ability to conduct internet research
- Ability to track and manage data in a spreadsheet format using pivot tables and formulas
- Proficiency in safety management software
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

- Must actively support our Health Safety and Environmental policy
- Immediately reports all Safety hazards and correct them when able to safely do so
- Participates in all required safety training, meetings, and inspections
