Senior Pharmacy Technician at Providence Oregon Regional Shared Services in Portland, Oregon
Part Time / Day Shift
This includes management of the inventory of all Investigational Product (IP) for the Investigational Drug Services pharmacy and maintenance of an efficient system for ordering, receiving and reconciling all IP. This technician is responsible for leading routine regulatory audits required to manage IP for clinical trials. Provides operational support of all functions of service provided by the IDS pharmacy, including, but not limited to: shipping/receiving of investigational product, preparation and dispensing of oral and intravenous medications, management of patient information and maintenance of all aspects of documentation necessary for investigational drug services. This technician is responsible for accurate preparation of all hazardous and non-hazardous IP for each trial, as per the requirements of individual protocols. Provides training and oversight to pharmacy technicians preparing IP.

Required Qualifications:
- Coursework/Training: CITI training for Human Subjects Research (including bi-annual updates). This training is required prior to working on each study and exact requirements determined by study sponsor.
- Oregon Certified Oregon Pharmacy Technician upon hire. Or
- Oregon Pharmacy Technician License upon hire.
- 2 years Pharmacy technician experience which includes chemotherapy admixture/preparation experience (prefer USP 800 experience).
- Experience dealing with phone triage and difficult situations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Coursework/Training: Courses in medical terminology, general chemistry and basic computer/software skills.
- Coursework/Training: Graduate of pharmacy technician training program.
- Experience with investigational drugs.
- Experience with common software applications (Excel, Word, Access, etc.).
- Experience with inventory, accounting or other pharmacy clerical duties.
