We are looking for an enthusiastic Finance, Costing and Inventory Placement Student to join our team specializing in Finance for our Power Systems Business segment in UK, Daventry. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!
This role is available to candidates who qualify for a placement year and will commence Summer of 2026.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Prepare journal entries for month-end close, and monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
- Item cost setting and product cost consolidations, and material variance analysis including actions to resolve issues.
- Inventory valuation and provision assessment and support Annual Physical Inventory and audit cycle count processes.
- Important contributor with respect to the annual standard setting and cost roll process.
- Support monthly current cost process and bridge key month on month product cost movements.
- Maintain internal control documentation.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline at a UK university.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy with basic understanding of manufacturing or supply chain processes and how they relate to costing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions, pivot tables, and basic data visualization; familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate across departments.
