Position Overview:
The Product Owner for Data and Operational Excellence is a pivotal role within Logitech’s Digital Office Operations team, based in Cork, Ireland. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and managing scalable digital solutions to improve enterprise data governance and operational processes, ensuring Logitech’s data assets are reliable, secure, and optimized to support organizational growth.
Partnering closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations, IT, and external technology providers, this position is instrumental in driving data integrity, operational efficiency, and a culture of continuous improvement. The role emphasizes enterprise-level accountability for establishing robust data governance frameworks and transitioning offline processes to integrated enterprise systems.
Through innovative solutions and hands-on project management, you will help Logitech achieve its business goals by enabling more efficient decision-making, reducing operational waste, and driving data-centric transformations. The role is an initial individual contributor role, reporting into the head of Data Management, Reporting and Visualization, but with an intent in growing a wider team competency in this area.
Your Key Responsibilities
1. Data Governance and Process Ownership
- Evaluate and redefine existing processes for managing enterprise data (e.g., Product, Customer, Financial, Operational Data), identifying gaps and designing solutions to migrate offline or legacy workflows to enterprise systems.
- Partner with functional domain experts and stakeholders to define robust data ownership, quality control, and lineage management structures, focusing on cataloguing single sources of truth and maintaining certified data standards.
- Establish data governance processes to empower Global Data Owners, Data Stewards, and IT Custodians, ensuring accountability and streamlined workflows.
- Create and implement standardized data models and management guidelines in collaboration with Data Model Owners, promoting consistency across functional domains.
- Monitor operational efficiency and data-related processes, ensuring continuous improvements and high-quality data outcomes.
2. Program and Project Management
- Develop and execute detailed project plans to implement scalable data governance and process improvement initiatives for critical data domains (e.g., customer data, financial information).
- Assign ownership roles within the Design and Operational Excellence Office (DOXO) to ensure clear responsibilities and accountability for data management.
- Lead the end-to-end management of data governance projects, from design through execution, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and timelines.
3. Data Quality, Integrity, and Performance Tracking
- Design and establish processes for capturing, validating, and managing enterprise data to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational goals.
- Define OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) for enterprise data, integrating automated tracking and measurement tools to monitor data quality and operational performance.
- Drive actionable, continuous improvements by analyzing the impact of implemented changes and identifying evolving business needs.
4. Stakeholder Collaboration and Change Management
- Act as the primary liaison between cross-functional business teams, technical teams, and external vendors, ensuring alignment and execution of enterprise data projects.
- Proactively engage with departmental leadership to capture requirements, prioritize initiatives, and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Lead user training sessions, develop change management programs, and promote enterprise-wide adoption of new tools and workflows.
- Build strategic partnerships with technology providers, optimizing value from investments in data governance and quality platforms.
- The role would have dotted line relationships into such functions as the Global Product Owner sitting in our global Quality organization and key leadership positions in other functional areas such as Engineering and global operations. This is key to help foster a strong change management culture and provide insights into functional challenges, short-term wins, and strategic alignment with those respective business functions.
Your Skills and Expertise
Key Qualifications:
- 10+ years of hands-on experience leading digitization, process optimization, and data governance projects at an enterprise level.
- Deep expertise in transforming offline or manual workflows into efficient, enterprise-grade system solutions.
- Proven ability to implement and monitor SMART KPIs, driving measurable outcomes related to data quality and operational efficiency.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage with diverse global teams, articulate challenges, and influence adoption.
- Solid problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex, cross-functional issues and deliver actionable solutions.
- Experience with data governance platforms (e.g., Collibra, Alation).
- Familiarity with enterprise systems and cloud-based platforms like AWS, Azure, or Salesforce.
- Certification in Project Management (PMP) or Process Improvement (e.g., Lean Six Sigma).
- Knowledge of Design Thinking practices to optimize workflows and foster innovation.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field.
- Industry certifications in project or process management (PMP, Lean Six Sigma) are highly desirable.
- Solid problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex, cross-functional issues and deliver actionable solutions.
- Experience with data governance platforms (e.g., Collibra, Alation).
- Familiarity with enterprise systems and cloud-based platforms like AWS, Azure, or Salesforce.
