The Azure Infrastructure Product Marketing team is looking for an individual with a unique combination of business, technical, and operations expertise to support key stakeholders in streamlining the Azure Infrastructure product portfolio and making sure it aligns with current and future business priorities. This role will require strong orchestration and collaboration across engineering, business planning, finance, and marketing to enable stakeholder teams to formulate and deliver product strategy, monetization and GTM recommendations to senior executives across Microsoft. Role Impact/Visibility:
This is a highly visible role within Azure where you will be responsible for enabling teams that shape the portfolio strategy to answer the question “How does Microsoft win with our Infrastructure offerings.” The individual will get the opportunity to work with senior leaders within Product Marketing, Engineering, Finance, Business Planning and Sales and to present to senior executives.
Through the role you will continually learn and become an expert at creating the strategy behind how critical functions within any organization come together to achieve success, with the ability to apply that learning to impact this fast-growing solution area.

Responsibilities

• Work together across Azure stakeholders (Engineering, Product Marketing, Business Planning, Finance) to establish and execute on a semester planning rhythm going from product concept to launch.
• Drive cross-group alignment on portfolio priorities, with a clear definition of success and timeline.
• Manage day-to-day Portfolio Planning rhythm and stakeholder processes.
• Establish processes and frameworks to help Infrastructure Marketing successfully execute launches working across stakeholder teams, including roadmap disciplines, downstream integrations, product launches, and on-going marketing support.
• Consolidate the timeline of portfolio delivery, incorporating both engineering up-stream dependencies and marketing down-stream dependencies to deliver a comprehensive portfolio outlook.
• Communicate status, risks, and blockers regularly with extended stakeholder group
• Prepare and present agreed-upon recommendations to a variety of stakeholders, including Corporate Vice Presidents of engineering and marketing teams through clear, concise documents and presentations.
• Establish effective working relationships with teams and Business Management partners that support the Microsoft Azure business.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 1+ year(s) experience in business OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 2+ years experience in business OR equivalent experience.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Azure products and services
  • 5+ years professional experience in Product Management, Operations, GTM/Marketing strategy, or equivalent experience.
Additional or preferred qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 3+ years experience in business OR Bachelor's Degree in in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 5+ years experience in business OR equivalent experience.
  • Ability to lead with confidence and clarity in high-stakes environments. cross-group collaboration, and communication skills to influence senior leaders across a highly matrixed organization.
  • Demonstrated track record of success in Product Management, Project Management or Operations.
  • The ability to break giant amorphous problems into discrete solvable components and apply rigorous logic to arrive at solutions.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft’s cloud computing strategy and business priorities.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite. 

Product Marketing IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $85,100 - $169,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $112,000 - $185,300 per year.
