Microsoft Sweden is seeking a seasoned Account Executive to join our Enterprise Commercial segment in Stockholm. This IC5-level role is designed for a strategic sales leader who thrives in complex customer environments and is passionate about driving digital transformation through Microsoft’s cloud, AI, and security solutions. The role spans over industries but has a gravity towards telco and retail also considering the customers B2B and B2C models. The accounts have an international geo coverage across pan-EMEA and global meaning while HQ is located in Sweden/Stockholm.

Responsibilities

Performance Expectations

  • - Revenue ownership: typically €50M+ annually across multiple solution areas.
  • - Strategic account growth and customer satisfaction.
  • - Execution of high-impact deals with long-term business value.
  • - Leadership in account planning, forecasting, and pipeline hygiene.

Strategic Account Leadership

  • - Own and grow a portfolio of high-value enterprise customers.
  • - Develop and execute multi-year customer engagement strategies aligned with Microsoft’s solution areas.
  • - Serve as a trusted advisor to C-level stakeholders, guiding long-term technology adoption and business transformation.

Sales Execution & Deal Strategy

  • - Lead complex, multi-solution sales motions across Azure, Modern Work, Security, and Business Applications.
  • - Navigate procurement, legal, and compliance processes to close strategic deals.
  • - Ensure deal profitability, risk mitigation, and alignment with Microsoft’s commercial policies.

Team Orchestration

  • - Lead and coach virtual account teams including Solution Specialists, Customer Success Managers, Industry Advisors, and Partner resources.
  • - Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales Excellence, Finance, Legal, and Marketing to remove execution blockers.

Governance & Compliance

  • - Oversee investments, concessions, amendments, and contract execution with full accountability.
  • - Ensure documentation and approvals are in place and stored according to Microsoft’s standards.

Qualifications

Required

  • - Seasoned in enterprise sales, with a proven track record in cloud, SaaS, or digital transformation.
  • - Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • - Deep understanding of commercial offerings and sales methodologies.
  • - Experience leading virtual teams and orchestrating complex sales motions.
  • - Excellent negotiation, communication, and strategic thinking skills.

Preferred

  • - Experience in the Swedish enterprise market or broader EMEA region.
  • - Familiarity with industry-specific challenges and solution areas.
  • - Fluency in English; Swedish language skills are a plus.
