Responsibilities
- Develop and implement technical strategies to research and develop novel Spatial AI based-experiences, including production roadmap different core CV/ML capabilities from data curation, experiment design, evaluation, and production validation
- Drive efficiency gains on training and deployment of multi-modal foundation models through novel techniques and core infrastructure building
- Communicate, collaborate, and build relationships with clients and peer teams to facilitate cross-functional projects
- Remain up-to-date on ongoing research and software development activities in the industry, work through technical challenges, and be involved in design decisions
- Lead and manage a team of software engineers to deliver high-quality products and solutions
- Foster a work environment of continuous learning, growth, and improvement
- 12+ years, or PhD + 8 years, of software engineering work experience, including technical management
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of managing managers, 5+ years of hands-on supporting and leading teams of research scientists and software engineers
- Demonstrated experience recruiting, and building, structuring, leading technical organizations, including performance management
- Experience with cross functional collaboration with other teams including non-engineering functions
- Experience in managing teams productizing Computer Vision or Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning technologies from conception to end
- Technical experience in leading teams/projects in one or more of the technical domains of machine perception (i.e., machine vision, deep learning, sensors and robotics)
- Experience in leading teams interfacing with Hardware (sensors, silicon) teams in setting requirements and product tradeoffs
- Experience managing joint hardware-software development and associated rapid prototyping projects
- MS, PhD, or work experience in a related field of Computer Vision, or AI/Machine Learning in domains related to 3D vision (e.g. SLAM, SfM), perception ML models (e.g. segmentation, depth), or Vision Language Models
