Position Description:

Executes test efforts across multiple environments, throughout all phases of the development life cycle, ensuring the delivery of high-quality code to production. Understands relational databases including data lake and Data Warehouse concepts. Performs Cloud Computing and DevOps concepts including Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) by developing and maintaining automated test pipelines. Explores new emerging technologies and concepts, and applies them to business problems. Researches modern test driven and automation driven software development methodologies. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.  

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.  
• Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.  
• Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.  
• Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation. 
• Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing. 
• Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.  
• Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems. 
• Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope. 
• Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project. 
• Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives. 

Education And Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer in Test (or closely related occupation) performing software engineering testing within a data engineering or business intelligence reporting environment.  

Or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer in Test (or closely related occupation) performing software engineering testing within a data engineering or business intelligence reporting environment. 

Skills And Knowledge:

Candidate Must Also Possess:

• Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) creating domain-specific automated test cases in Java/J2EE for functional testing; designing and developing custom Rest Assured framework for REST API automation; conducting manual Application Programming Interface (API) testing using Postman and Insomnia; designing and executing load and performance tests to ensure system scalability, using JMeter; and engaging in performance testing for Power BI reports.   
• DE writing User Interface (UI) automated tests using Selenium WebDriver; creating hybrid automation frameworks using Cucumber and Behavior Driven Development (BDD), Maven, Version Control System (GIT), IntelliJ, and Junit; and integrating automated test cases with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline using Jenkins.  
• DE validating data integrity during Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes and data migrations, using PL/SQL, SQL Developer, Snowflake, and ICEDQ for data automation; injecting test data using Content Management; and comparing data using Inspire Designer, WinMerge, and Diffpdf.  
• DE performing User and Business Acceptance Testing (UAT), white and black-box, integration, regression, performance, functional, UI, smoke, database, and Chaos testing, using PL/SQL queries and views, and test automation frameworks; creating robust test plan strategies in JIRA; providing technical support for code deployment and test-environment management, using Cloud computing technologies -- Udeploy, Jenkins, DevOps, and Amazon Web Services (AWS); triaging issues of cross-regional and multi-functional teams, using JIRA and Xray test management; and performing root cause analysis using Log4j, Datadog, WINSCP, and Putty.
