Description

CAMS is looking for an Onboarding Manager to lead the onboarding process for newly joining associations, ensuring a seamless and professional transition experience. This role is responsible for working directly with Board members and other management companies and coordinating with CAMS team members across all departments to deliver consistent, high-quality service aligned with CAMS Way standards.

Responsibilities

  • Onboarding Leadership: Own the end-to-end onboarding process for new associations, from initial setup through full operational integration. Serve as a member of the Operations Management team.
  • Team Supervision & Training: Directly supervise the Association Onboarding Administrator and oversee shared staff to ensure timely task completion and cross-functional alignment.
  • Process Execution: Implement CAMS Way onboarding protocols, including data integrity checks, association setup in Vantaca, client meetings, welcome packet delivery, portal setup, and compliance documentation. 
  • Client Experience: Serve as the primary liaison to Boards and prior management for new associations during onboarding, providing Trusted Guidance and proactive communication to build confidence and satisfaction.
  • Collaboration: Partner with Regional Vice Presidents, Community Managers, Sales team, Accounting team and Customer Experience to ensure onboarding transitions are smooth and tailored to each association’s needs.
  • Developer Relations: Foster relationships with developer clients and track developing communities from inception through initial funding; partner for the regional team.
  • Data Management: Follo-up with prior management to ensure association files are received and provided to the correct operational department.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to enhance onboarding efficiency and client retention.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience in operations, client onboarding, or project management.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in association governance, community management, association accounting, interpretation of financial statements.
  • Familiarity with CAMS systems (e.g., Vantaca, Basecamp, Microsoft, Zoom, AvidX, Southdata, Strongroom, VendorSmart) and onboarding workflows preferred.
  • This is a remote position as long as you are located in North Carolina or South Carolina.
