We are a fast moving team with an ambitious goal! The team specializes in building novel audio-first experiences specific to our products, with a focus on ambient audio awareness and assistance.

The technical nature of this work will center around applied AI. Our team also develops across the stack to rapidly prototype and vet new ideas and experiences.

This is a unique chance to join our multidisciplinary team of Product Managers, Program Managers, UX, Research Scientists and Engineers and work on research, building from zero to one. In this role, you will acquire practical skills in building, developing, and working first-hand with advanced AI technologies and turning new ideas into finished products, fundamentally impacting people’s lives.The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $197,000-$291,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Build fast prototypes and collecting feedback to vet product hypotheses.
  • Partner closely with Researchers to build edge focused emerging AI capabilities and technologies.
  • Partner closely with Product teams across P&D (e.g., Android, Pixel, Wearables, Home, Extended Reality) to develop novel user experiences.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers, UX, and other partners to plan and prioritize projects.
  • Design, develop and launch new product features.
