Full Time

We are the movers of the world and the makers of the future. We get up every day, roll up our sleeves and build a better world -- together. At Ford, we’re all a part of something bigger than ourselves. Are you ready to change the way the world moves?

Launched in 2023, Integrated Services creates and markets new customer experiences by integrating hardware, software and services across Ford Blue, Model e and Ford Pro. These products and services allow Ford's retail and commercial customers to customize their vehicles like never before with OTA (over-the-air)-driven experiences that grow better over time. Ford is developing leadership at the forefront of connected, digital platforms that will revolutionize every aspect of how vehicles function, the way people interact with them, and the value those vehicles provide.

In This Position...

We're looking for a detail-oriented, highly collaborative Product Operations Manager to join the Retail Offboard Experiences team. This isn't a traditional Product Management role focused on feature definition, but rather a critical function that ensures the product runs smoothly, complies with global regulations, and is operationally ready to expand into new markets.

If you thrive on coordinating complex initiatives, ensuring compliance, and improving operational processes in a fast-paced digital environment, this role will be of interest to you.

The Ford and Lincoln retail mobile applications serve as our essential digital front door, fostering daily, meaningful relationships with customers by enabling them to maximize the use and value of their vehicles. As the primary digital channels, these cloud-based apps allow us to rapidly deploy features and content globally, acting as a critical link between the customer and the Ford ecosystem.

Achieving these goals requires not only innovative product development but also meticulous operational planning, execution, and ongoing management. This is where the Product Operations Manager role plays a vital part. We are seeking a dedicated individual to join the retail mobile app team who will champion the operational rigor needed to support new market launches, ensure compliance with terms, conditions, and privacy regulations, and drive the operational health and efficiency of our mobile products.

This is a hybrid position requiring an onsite schedule of 4 days a week in the Dearborn, MI office. This is not a remote position.

What You'Ll Do...

New Market Launches (as required based upon prioritization):

  • Coordinate across product, engineering, legal, marketing, regional teams, and customer support to ensure all operational aspects are covered for a successful launch (e.g., localization readiness, support documentation, legal reviews, operational monitoring).

Terms & Conditions and Privacy Management:

  • Manage the process for updating and implementing app Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policies across all operating markets, ensuring compliance with local regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
  • Maintain clear documentation of T&C and Privacy requirements and implementations for the product team.

Product Operations & Process Improvement:

  • Identify and implement process improvements within the product team and across cross-functional dependencies to enhance efficiency and clarity.
  • Support the Product Management team by managing operational tasks that free them up to focus on strategy and features.
  • Become an operational Subject Matter Expert (SME) for areas like compliance processes and multi-market operations within the Retail Offboard Experiences team.

You'Ll Have...

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 3+ years of experience in Product Management, Digital Operations, or Program Management.
  • Detail-Focused Ownership: You're highly organized, have an eye for detail, and you take full ownership of your responsibilities, embodying the "Deliver It. Own It." behavior.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration and influence with diverse stakeholders across all departments (e.g., Legal, Compliance, Privacy, Product, Engineering, Marketing).
  • Action-Oriented Problem Solver: You thrive in ambiguity, proactively identifying challenges, taking initiative to clarify and improve processes, and driving practical solutions to completion with a strong 'Bias for Action.
  • A deep passion for our customers, their needs, and for building/releasing products to meet these needs.

Even better, you may have...

  • Bachelor's degree in business, technology, legal studies, or a related field
  • Direct experience launching digital products or features in new international markets.
  • Worked with terms and conditions, or privacy in the past
  • Experience with operational tools (JIRA, Confluence, analytics platforms)
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies

You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!

As an established global company, we offer the benefit of choice. You can choose what your Ford future will look like: will your story span the globe, or keep you close to home?
