The Corporate Communications team enables the sharing of corporate strategy, news, and events with employees, retirees, and media. The applications in this portfolio include the @FordOnline employee portal, From the Road media website and portal, social media propogation, AI content tagging, and various SaaS applications focused on employee communication and engagement (i.e. Staffbase email, Jotform event mgmt, BlueOvalNow mobile app). The team has full-stack development responsibility for @FordOnline and From the Road, building and maintaining the web applications using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or other TBD tech stacks.

In this position you will lead a product based team to deliver best-in-class software and experiences to our customers, both internal and external. Senior product managers (supervisors) support in-depth business reviews, communicate and present across all levels of the organization and support cross-functional product teams. The candidate must be able to work at the strategic level (generating innovative ideas for growth, change management) and at the tactical level (analyzing data, solving problems, leading the team).  This is a hybrid role (4 days/week) in Dearborn, MI.

What You'Ll Do...

  • Lead the design and implementation of software related to @FordOnline and From the Road websites from requirements, design, development, coding and validation, including migrating each to the Adobe Cloud
  • Participate in the evaluation, selection and potential unification of future employee communications tools
  • Drive the team to focus on designs and features to improve user experience
  • Focus on the quality of products and development velocity
  • Integrate solutions with internal and external products as needed
  • Interface with product/design teams
  • Hire. Retain and grow great talent
  • Provide post-production escalation support
  • Assess third party and open-source software/products as needed
  • Participate in yearly cycle planning prioritization 
  • Conduct interim and year-end assessments of team members

You'Ll Have...

  • Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in computer science, information technology or a technology related field
  • 5+ years of experience leading teams of developers, preferably those with .com software delivery, AEM, React, Akamai and similar skills
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written
  • Extensive experience with agile software development practices as part of a product based team
  • Experience procuring and managing third-party SaaS applications

Even better, you may have…

  • Master’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field
  • 3+ years of AEM experience including hands-on development and troubleshooting of software systems
  • AEM Cloud migration expertise
  • Understanding of clean code practices
  • Solid knowledge of Adobe Analytics
  • Solid knowledge of Git, bug tracking software (Jira or other), peer reviews, and other development tools.
  • AI content tagging experience
