This role will support the Strategic Business Development team in key initiatives to drive growth across Retail Learning Strategy and Design, Market Development (focusing on Asia and Asian clientele), Commercial Watch Business Development, Global Real Estate Operations, and Travel Retail Development. This role combines aspects of strategic business development and operational support. The VIE will collaborate with cross-functional teams, assist in project management, and support effective communication and decision-making. 

VIE Program Requirements (must be met):

  • Ages 18 - 28
  • French or European Union citizen (cannot be a U.S. Citizen)
  • Be available to work in New York, NY for the entire 18-month program
  • Be in good standing with regard to the national service obligations of your country(ies) (defence ID n°)
  • Available to devote yourself full time to your assignment

Salary: The salary for this position is € 5072.76 per month.

Location: This is in-person at our Corporate Headquarters in New York, NY with an anticipated start date of January 2nd, 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Retail Learning Strategy: Assist in the implementation and research for a comprehensive Retail Learning framework, which is aimed at supporting the professional growth, development, and performance of retail teams. Contribute to identifying gaps and enhancing learning effectiveness, and partner with internal stakeholders and consultants to design a strategic learning framework.
  • Market Development (Asia Focus): Work with the Director to support efforts to enhance the company's market positioning and brand awareness among Asian consumers. Support market research efforts to identify trends, assess the competitive landscape, and understand client preferences. 
  • Commercial Watch Business Development (SAPAC & Japan):  Contribute to creating implementation roadmaps, including timelines, milestones, and success metrics. Assist in the implementation of the Watch Retail Audit – SAPAC, Japan, and USA (2026/2027 projects). Contribute to analyses of current watch VM, zoning, and best practices in our store network to identify opportunities for improvement. 
  • Global Real Estate Operations:  Monitor and analyze sales performance data, providing insights and recommendations. 
  • Travel Retail Strategy Development and Implementation: Conduct market research to support the identification of trends, competitive landscape, and client needs – providing insights and action recommendations. 
  • Operational Support:
  • Assist in translating the overall strategic plan into actionable initiatives and monitoring progress against KPIs.
  • Support the execution of ad-hoc strategic projects.
  • Monitor market trends and help identify emerging opportunities for growth.
  • Provide research, data, and presentation support to the Director on business issues relevant to strategic business development.
  • Support the preparation of briefing materials and presentations for the team.
  • Support cross-functional alignment and accountability for strategic priorities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Fluent in English both verbally and business writing
  • 3-5 years of experience in business development or consulting and sales, or a related field
  • Understanding of the luxury retail industry is a plus, especially knowledge of jewelry and watches
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
