As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for creating application software as part of the Software Development Kit (SDK) for TI SOC on FreeRTOS/SafeRTOS. It would also involve building device drivers, SW frameworks, and application demos that allow demonstrating low power in the end application usage on the SDK. While the role is that of an individual contributor, you will have the opportunity to mentor a small team to deliver the SDK.
Basic Qualifications:
- 2-5 years industry experience in software development on embedded devices.
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electronics/Electrical/Computer Science
Skills Needed:
- Extensive experience in embedded development – C Programming, Python, ARM/DSP cores, Cache, DMA, FreeRTOS/SafeRTOS/Linux, compilers, and tool chains
- Knowledge of basic communication peripherals like I2C, SPI, UART, Flash, etc.
- Knowledge of middleware and Software Development Kits (SDK)
- Debugging heterogeneous core architecture, traversing error logs, and familiarity with makefiles are added advantages.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, development, and delivery of a Software Development Kit (SDK) for TI SOC. Includes working on the software framework and drivers for system IPs for Power and Resource Management, in conjunction with Linux, AUTOSAR, and security software stacks.
- Full project ownership - From estimation, scoping, and planning to final SW delivery and customer ramp.
- Mentor a non-reporting small-sized team and guide them with technical inputs needed to deliver the SW product.
- Able to look at software deliverables from the end user point of view – ease of use, well-documented code, design documents, integrated tools.
