We’re seeking someone to join our team as (Associate) Python Developer that develops and maintains software solutions that support business needs.

Institutional Securities Technology

Institutional Securities Technology (IST) develops and oversees the overall technology strategy and bespoke technology solutions to drive and enable the institutional businesses and enterprise-wide functions. IST’s ‘clients’ include Fixed Income, Equities, Commodities, Investment Banking, Research, Prime Brokerage and Global Capital Markets.

Client & Investor Analytics

The Counterparty Risk and Margins team is the firm’s risk team for assessing and mitigating counterparty risk. We provide a comprehensive set of risk calculations like Stresses, Greeks, VAR, Betas, Exposure and Backtest, which are used to assess risk on counterparty portfolios under different situations. The users of the Risk platform are both internal and external to the firm. Via the Matrix application, we provide the risk platform to our external clients which include large hedge funds, pension funds, etc. Internally, our tools are used by Risk Managers, operations users, as well as senior management in various business lines, to look at the counterparty risk that the firm is exposed to, as well as to assess the risk profiles of potential new clients. This robust platform is also being leveraged by firm's Global Wealth Management group.

What you’ll do in the role:

What you’ll bring to the role:

• At least 3 years’ relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
• Experience building enterprise-level applications using Python frameworks including Django, Flask, and FastAPI for RESTful API development
• Expertise in multi-tiered web application design and programming with a solid understanding of modern Python web architectures
• Programming proficiency in data processing and analysis using Pandas, NumPy, and related data science libraries
• Experience with API development and integration using JSON, REST principles, and microservices architecture.
• Django: Full-stack web framework for rapid development of secure and maintainable websites
• Flask: Lightweight WSGI web application framework for building RESTful services and microservices
• FastAPI: Modern, high-performance web framework for building APIs with Python based on standard Python type hints
• Pandas: Data manipulation and analysis library for processing structured data

Good to Have skill

• Knowledge of machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn
• Experience with natural language processing (NLP) using libraries like NLTK or spaCy
• Understanding of data preprocessing techniques for machine learning applications
• Familiarity with model training, evaluation, and deployment workflows
• Experience with computer vision libraries such as OpenCV
• Knowledge of deep learning architectures and their applications
• Understanding of MLOps practices for model deployment and monitoring
• Experience with Python package management tools (pip, poetry, conda)
• Proficiency in deploying Python applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms
• Knowledge of database integration with Python applications (SQL and NoSQL)
• Exposure to JIRA, RALLY or other ALM tools to create a productive, high quality development environment.
• Familiarity with AGILE Process and biweekly scrum.  Have used Agile methodology, Continuous delivery and continually seek excellence.
