About the Position:

The Virginia State Police (VSP) is seeking to hire a Storekeeper Senior in our Safety Division Headquarters office, located in Richmond, Virginia. The job duties for this position include but are not limited to:

• Processes, packages and weighs daily shipments of inspection supplies and other inspection related material.
• Orders, receives, secures, and maintains adequate inspection, office, shipping supplies, and printed materials.

Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge:

• Of general storeroom and inventory control procedures and techniques to include inventory record-keeping and purchase and requisition procedures.
• Of filing systems that use a numerical structure.
• Of basic mathematics

Skills:

• In operating computers and using Microsoft Office applications.
• In using a calculator.
• In using a fax machine and copier.

Ability:

• To load and unload supplies.
• To follow oral and written instructions.
• To communicate effectively orally and in writing in English.
• To establish and maintain effective relationships with coworkers and others.
• To work independently and as a member of a team.
• To lift up to 25 pounds unassisted.

• Valid driver’s license.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
