Associate Mental Health Counselor

As an associate mental health counselor, you will maintain an active caseload of students with counseling needs and documented disabilities. You will attend a weekly case conference, assist with outreach and psychoeducational program development, and perform crisis intervention with students as assigned, including on-call duties. Among other duties you will provide students with community referrals as needed and promptly document student contact in Titanium. Responsibilities include participation in quarterly student orientation, maintenance of a personal schedule that aligns with the master schedule in Titanium, and participation in departmental performance improvement initiatives. You will also inform your supervisor of staff development needs and prepare your own PRs for approval.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related discipline
• Clinical license or license eligible in counseling, psychology, or social work

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least two years of experience in counseling or accommodation services

Certificates, Licenses, And Registrations:

• Associate Professional Counselor (APC)
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
• Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
• Licensed Psychologist (Ph.D.)

Travel Required:

• Less than 10%

Work hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
