Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Enrollment Management provides visionary leadership and operational oversight for the University’s comprehensive enrollment strategy. Reporting to the Chief Enrollment & Marketing Officer, the AVP is responsible for advancing enrollment goals across undergraduate, graduate, online, adult, transfer, and dual credit student populations. This role oversees Admissions; Graduate, Online, Adult, and Transfer Enrollment (GOAT); Student Financial Assistance; Central Student Services (Big E Central); the Welcome Center and Campus Visit Experience; and Dual Credit programs. The AVP partners closely with academic leadership, student success teams, and university stakeholders to design and execute enrollment initiatives that expand access, support student success, and reflect the mission of the University.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Master’s degree in higher education administration, business, or related field.

Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of progressively responsible leadership experience in enrollment management or related areas. Demonstrated success in achieving enrollment growth and shaping expansive student cohorts. Strong knowledge of admissions, recruitment, financial aid, and student service operations. Ability to analyze data, interpret trends, and apply insights to strategy. Exceptional communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

  • 25% - Develop and execute a multi-year, data-informed enrollment management strategy aligned with institutional goals and Strategic Enrollment Management Plan. Monitor enrollment trends, demographics, and market dynamics to inform decision-making and adapt strategies. Lead cross-divisional collaborations to strengthen recruitment, retention, and financial aid leveraging. Lead the Welcome Center and campus visit experience to create engaging, brand-aligned encounters for prospective students and families. - (Essential)
  • 25% - Direct undergraduate, graduate, online, adult, and transfer recruitment strategies to achieve enrollment targets. Ensure a student-centered admissions process that emphasizes transparency, responsiveness, and workforce alignment. Guide development of innovative outreach initiatives, including digital engagement, partnerships, and pipeline programs. - (Essential)
  • 25% - Strengthen and expand dual credit and early college partnerships with K-12 schools to build enrollment pipelines while increasing Dual Credit to first-time-student retention pathway. Support academic colleges in aligning dual credit offerings with university pathways. - (Essential)
  • 15% - Oversee federal, state, and institutional financial aid programs to optimize access, affordability, and compliance. Collaborate with the Office of Student Accounting and institutional leadership to align financial aid strategies with enrollment objectives. Ensure seamless student service delivery through an integrated One Stop model. - (Essential)
  • 10% - Supervise and develop directors and staff across enrollment functional areas. Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, professional growth, and student-first service. Manage budgetary resources strategically to support enrollment priorities and operational efficiency. - (Essential)
