Vice President of Commercial and Business Services

Description

Manage a team of commercial/business loan officers and administrative staff to develop relationships with new and existing business members. Direct the activity of the group to ensure measurable contributions to growth and profitability of the Credit Union by providing loans, growing deposits, and promoting other financial services through either direct or cross-selling efforts. Work with all divisions of the Credit Union to implement and maintain the most competitive products and services. Responsible for keeping up with all business related NCUA changes and making sure all business-related polices reflect such changes. Supervise, train, and evaluate the Commercial and Business Services staff.

Requirements

• Accountable for the commercial/business team's success, including profitability, sales, customer service and staff development. Ensure that the division's commercial/business products, services, and policies are aligned with the credit unions strategy.
• Deliver goals for all sales metrics and sales activities to drive the expected results; monitor the achievement of goals by individual commercial/business loan officers, and hold team members accountable for performance.
• Drive performance of team through established organizational sales management processes, which include: conducting business sales meetings; keeping team members informed of results and operational components; providing scorecard focus and direction; coaching for top-line performance; and establishing partnerships with other lines of business to encourage cross selling across multiple channels.
• Monitor all outstanding business and commercial loans and the overall commercial portfolio of the Credit Union.
• Protect the assets of the Credit Union by aggressively managing credit quality and minimizing losses through extensive efforts of effectively managing business loan reviews in a timely manner.
• Encourage and provide guidance in appropriate business development activities by branch managers. Assist the branches with expertise for more complex product and service needs of the member.
• Work on complex projects and issues; contribute to the development of the department's concepts and principles.
• Manage the day-to-day activities of the commercial/business services team. Provide leadership, direction, and growth opportunities to members of the team, performing those responsibilities in accordance with Avadian's policies.
• Responsible for observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role. Raise and report any changes or revision to the Compliance Department for policy required revisions.
• Responsible for following all BSA/OFAC policies and procedures.
• Prompt and regular attendance is required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education: Eight to ten years of similar or related experience.
