Senior Cloud Engineer

Kinetic IT is seeking a skilled and versatile Senior Cloud Engineer to join us as we support one of our enterprise level customers. This role will see you implementing transformational solutions in a highly secure hybrid cloud environment (Azure & AWS).

You will have the chance to work across both BAU and project initiatives, make a tangible impact within a secure and compliance-driven environment, and further develop your Azure and AWS expertise.

Responsibilities Will Include:

• Managing IaaS Services on Microsoft Azure, including VMs, containers, firewalls, and VNets
• Observation and monitoring of cloud native services
• Scripting and Automation (PowerShell)
• Governance and Security (Landing Zones, Defender for Cloud, Azure Policy)
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Bicep) and Azure DevOps (CI/CD)
• Identifying, analysing and resolving cloud vulnerabilities and issues.
• Creating and maintaining strong technical documentation.
• Following ITIL process for Incidents, Security, Problem and Change Management.

What you’ll bring to the table:

You’re an experienced Cloud Engineer who thrives in complex, hybrid environments. You’re confident with Azure technologies and system integration, and you understand the expectations of working with government clients in secure, high-stakes environments.

• Strong experience within Azure environments, backed with certifications such as AZ-103
• Exposure and understanding of AWS services (IAM and AWS Landing Zone Accelerator)
• Experience with cost management and FinOps (Desirable)
• Knowledge of Entra ID and Application Registrations and SSO (Desirable)
• Active NV1 Security Clearance - as you will be supporting a Federal Government customer.
