Role Of The Lead Corporate Logistics Analyst

Under general direction, researches, develops and implements routing and logistics plans to enhance productivity, safety, and decrease costs.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead and monitor enterprise logistics and route optimization projects, ensuring milestones are achieved and outcomes support Recology’s strategic goals.
  • Stay proactive by identifying new requirements in operations, technology, and process improvement, guiding the department and company toward future directions.
  • Orchestrate cross-departmental initiatives by working with Operations, IT, Customer Experience, Finance, and external stakeholders to align execution and resolve challenges.
  • Drive fleet performance management by partnering with the Operations Improvement Management (OIM) department to compile and analyze route times, mileage, tonnage, sequencing, and service time data, creating a clear view of performance across all operating companies.
  • Spearhead geospatial and data initiatives, using the full ESRI suite to support spatial analysis needs for operations, cross-departmental projects, and regulatory or government partners.
  • Ensure data integrity across ERP, CRM, and routing systems, collaborating with Data Insights, AMCS, and IT to enable smooth technology integration and modernization.
  • Train and develop logistics and operations analysts by establishing standards, promoting best practices, and ensuring consistency in analysis, optimization, and project delivery.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Four years experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • A bachelor's or associate degree in Geography, Data Science, or a similar field is preferred.
  • Operations-based experience in routing and mapping preferred.
  • Experience with GIS preferred.
  • Python software experience preferred.
  • Intermediate Excel skills required.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong project management and analytical skills required.
